We had a nice showing yesterday. I believe we had about 18 people all day. Excellent touch all day long. Special thanks to the newcomers Joe and Joey!

Don’t forget, Dallas Touch is hosting Craig Martin from Portland, Oregon for the weekend of Aug 24/25. He will be teaching everyone the plays that the United State’s World Cup Touch teams will be using during competition. Everyone of all skills is welcome.

Also, thanks to all of those who have made donations to the organization so far.

Another beautiful day for playing touch with 15 friends, and so much cooler at 9:30 in the am. I really enjoyed the day, sometimes playing some great footy, but it is so good to be able to go for a run on any Sunday and know we are going to have a great day. Hats off to Kill for his original composition by using “no way Jose” in a serious conversation.

We have a lot coming up in the next couple of months and we are going need dollars, so please everybody think about what you can give in the next few weeks. Kill can also take card payments with his phone, but not sure if it is going straight on his mortgage payment.
Any way, anything will help. Thanks guys and gals.

Touch is on….

And last I heard, there is a party at Nate’s house after touch on Sunday.

Below is one of 7,000 photos I took last weekend at the USA Rugby tournament at the polo grounds in Irving. The rest of the photos are at

Touch is on, but the numbers might be a little low on Sunday. There will be quite a few touch players at the rugby national championships this weekend.

If you don’t see Joe, it’s because you weren’t here.

It has been a few weeks since I have posted anything…..

Good turnout yesterday with about 17 people making an appearance. I was officiating most of the time, so I didn’t have a chance to take any photos. However, here is one from a few weeks ago.

Extra effort!

Word of the day: dumping

Dumping is not something that one person does. It involves multiple people. In the picture below, you see that:

  1. John is not dumping in front of a defender.
  2. John is dumping between two defenders.
  3. John is dumping behind both defenders.
  4. Both defenders are now out of position.
  5. Jose’ has anticipated where John is going to dump.
  6. Jose’ will be there to pick it up quickly.
  7. This ball will be on the ground for about 1 second.
  8. Just awesome!
  9. A 3rd offensive player is ready to receive the ball from the dummy half.
  10. Dummy half will not have to run far with the ball, if at all.

(People say I repeat myself often, so why not continue.)

11. Awesome!
