Well, there goes the cool temperatures. It hit the 90’s today while we running in the sun and we all loved it. Only for the fact it means that the rain is gone. Lake Highlands provided a great field although the cement hard dirt proved our diving for try days are over.
Coach John started our day off with the touch clinic. We focused on bangers and the double wrapper to begin with. A social touch game got started on the second field where the social touch players shared a great game.
It was good to see a lot of old faces. Aaron, Dan, Manny, Charl, Sheshan were back after injury/being busy with life. Their presence was great back on the field. Chris was out and brought his legs. Bangers were our stable, but there is no way to account for Chris’ breaks. He also did a great job at being the ref.
We ended the day with some more coaching. We worked on our 5m plays and everyone did a great job at picking it up well.
We are going to start playing at 0900am next week to try and beat some of the heat. Please try and make an effort to get there on time. We know changing the morning routine is tough, but if we are all there we can be done before the heat stroke gets us!
Have a great week everyone!
