The people looked up and saw sunshine and there was much rejoicing! What a great day! Spirits were high as about 22 people turned out for a run in the sun. The field was still sloping with just a little bit of a muddy area near one of the try lines.
It was great to see the usual’s, as well as a few new and old faces. Able received the award for the most loss of traction. Legs and arms were flailing as he took fall after fall but continued to get back up with great enthusiasm.
Refs were on the field making good and marginal calls but it was all good experience and it tightened our game up. James gladly jumped in and took a go. We are always glad to see some new faces blowing whistles. (Don’t read too much into that one).
Terry showed great sportsmanship when it came to collecting cones. “Lets go get the cones” he said as he smoked a cigarette and sat down in his chair. Bloody Aussie.
The lake house was the venue where we shared stories and good laughs. The group is still there if anyone wants to come out!
Have a good week and try make it out Wednesday if you can!
