What a glorious day! Clear blue skies with a hint of wind. Spring definitely is the best season in Dallas, where we wish it could be like this all year round.

18 happy campers show up for a day of social touch. The ball was flying by 1030 and we had three teams rolling in and out of the field. A few new guys made it out and quickly picked up the game. Joe even made it in relatively early which meant everyone was looking to the shade for a cold brew or two.

Kill surpised us all with his appearance. A huge cast/splint/banage engulfed his left hand after sacrificing his hand in the Houston tournament. It looks like he will be out for a few weeks so be sure to wish him a speedy recovery. On the subject of injuries, Terry continued to be right in it. James received a good smack in the face from him, and then Nico payed it back with a hard knock. Luckily no one was seriously hurt and hugs were given all around.

Coach John reminded us what 5m really looks like for our defensive game. It really does open up the field a lot more and make the game that much tougher. James often complained that the defense 10m was far too short and needed reminiding that the metric system hasn’t quite made it over here yet.

All in all we had a great time and enjoyed seeing all of our team mates. The beer began flowing right around noon and the jokes continued into the afternoon.

We are still running on Wednesdays at 630pm if we get numbers. Be on the lookout for the email or Facebook posts and please respond if you can make it out.

See you all then!

Kane Cairncross.
