Stellar day of touch in Dallas! The quality of play today was as good as I have ever seen on the field in Dallas. Well done by everyone!
We had 21 people playing. (There are 18 people in the photo. I’m taking the photo. Tyler is sitting in a chair behind everyone.) Let me know in the comments who is missing.
I was running a few minutes late. I got there at 10:40 and there were already 10 people ready to go. We started playing about 10:45. People trickled onto the field and we eventually had a few subs. We got to the point where we had enough people that we had 3 full teams. Upon scoring of a try, the entire scoring team sub’d off.
A Most Valuable Player of the day was voted upon… Honors were given to Hammer. After an interception, Hammer chased down and caught Chris, averting a try. The following series, Hammer’s team proceeded to score. All made possible by Hammer.
On another note, we had a Frank citing today. It was just not at the touch fields. John said he saw Frank riding his biking down Buckner Blvd. not far from the touch fields. John said that he had something thrown over his shoulder.
The only explanation that I can come up with is the Orphanage must have run out of food. With Frank being the stellar citizen that he is, he must have been bringing back his haul from hunting in the fields. Such dedication. I’m pretty sure those kids won’t go to bed hungry tonight. Way to go Frank!
Here is the start to a series of posts that I am going to try to do weekly. That is if I have time. It is called:
